Why planning doesn't work

A. The weather can determine everything.
- The family fellowship sledding olympics cancelled due to -45 wind chills and warnings of hypothermia or death. Uuhm. Enough said.
- Racing for the Hosking clan also cancelled Saturday and moved to Sunday due to the wind chills and a foot and a half of snow- yippee!
-Parent teacher conferences rescheduled for next week due to a snow day!

B. Sickness determines ones fate.
- Tyler's "family" birthday was scheduled for tonight and had to be cancelled beyond our doors. Katia woke up sick and stayed home and then got a mysterious fever with a bad cough.
- Tyler takes it all in stride and still claims the best birthday ever. What a 10 year old!

C. Crabby babies make crabby parents
-Tayton's constant crying makes us all feel exhausted and can change plans at any time.

D. And last but not least- even well planned events can be less thrilling because of what it was supposed to be.
- Did you ever notice that most of the spur of the moment plans end up being great memories? Tyler called up his buddy Zack in the Soo today and he's coming to Escanaba for five days and can come to Tyler's "friend" skating party. Tyler's day was complete!
