Week's end

This week is flying by. The kids are off from school tomorrow for some teacher training day or something. Then they'll be off again on the 20th for President's day. It must be hard for teachers to gain any momentum when they are always dealing with short weeks after the holidays.

I shampooed my carpets this morning which was a trick with Tayton. He's so inquisitive. I planned to do it all right before his morning nap so it could dry while he slept. The shampooer is quite loud and amazingly, he fell asleep before I was done! So that worked out pretty good.

My great aunt Karen is on my mind constantly lately. I know God is stirring me. She's dying of pancreatic cancer- we almost lost her last week which is a long story, but she has made an amazing comeback this week. The doctor is astounded. She's downstate near one of her daughters in the hospital in Grand Rapids. The part that is stirring me is that she isn't saved and I just found that out Tuesday. So I feel the real urge to go down there and talk to her. Of course, there are a million obstacles to overcome which is just the evil one trying to get me to put it off. I've only brought my kids to the Lord so I'm not at all versed at it. Please pray about this situation, both for me to find a way and for a miracle for her.

It's now winter around here- brrrr. It's been getting down to about 10 at night and the wind chills are close to zero in the mornings. We're supposed to get a couple inches of snow tonight- bring it on:-)

I finally had a couple of minutes to catch up on your blogs....you sure had some good ones posted. I'm so glad you are making such good progress on the addition....we had so hoped to camp out on the land this weekend, but now it is supposed to rain again. We had lots of rain last weekend and until it drys up enough for us to get the driveway graded, we can't take the camper out there. You are so right about the knitted and crocheted items...they do last a loooong time. And those knitted washclothes...Erin had a friend in college who'd make them, and then a lady in choir made some for me....I love them. I wonder if I could get Gigi to do some. Enjoy your snow, me....I'm looking forward to spring. Conference is over HOORAY we did real good in sales and contacts....had to reteach my second seminar due to so many being turned away the first time because my room was small. Thanks for your prayers.
