Spring in the U.P.

Ah, spring is so awesome! Tayton and I went for a morning walk yesterday and it smelled so sweet outside, fresh, and clean after days of rain. It was 73 yesterday and now it's only supposed to get up to fifty today and it's raining again, but the sun is trying to peak out. Katia has a field trip to Fayette today with her class. Hopefully it will end up to be a nice day for that.

The woodticks are out, I had one on me the other day just walking to the mailbox-ick!!! And Paul said he mowed over a morel mushroom the other day! So this is the perfect time to find them now too. I'm going to be on the lookout for them around here now, I didn't know we had them! Dad and Jason are hoping to go hunting for them this weekend I guess, but I think Shifter the puppy might change the plans:-)

My hostas are trying to open and grow, this rain is soo good for them! And my garden, well it didn't get any further. The neighbor's rototiller is beyond repair so we're stuck. I had hoped to have my veggies in by now.

Paul and I will have our thirteenth anniversary on Monday! In all we've been together 15 1/2 years- wow! Sure seems like it hasn't been that long! We have sure been through alot and also have been very blessed.

My friend Janet Wunder had a baby boy, Cardel, a month ago and so her shower was last night at Debbie Stiglitz's new house. It was such a nice time and the baby is so tiny! He was a month early and still weighed eight pounds- but he sure seems small! And Jeana Neuens is also expecting, and my cousin, and Jenny (Wunder)Wirhanowicz is due in two weeks with her third. Babies, babies, babies!:-)

Well, that's about it for today. Grandma, if you happen to read this- we are ALL waiting for a new blog! :-)
