Restless

Our Easter was great- couldn't have gone much smoother although we were sort of on the edge of our seat if we were going to make it to church cause Katia was under the weather. Tyler and I went to our Good Friday service and then we all made it yesterday for breakfast, the men of the church really go all out. They made ham, hashbrown potatoes, scrambled eggs, french toast, fresh fruit salad and all the toppings you could every imagine for the french toast. I had mine with strawberries:-) The service was great, our sanctuary packed as it normally is on a holiday. We had beautiful special music and video and then a time to just reflect of what Christ endured that day. The only thing lacking was an alter call. I was sitting there after the Pastor's message, thinking, Okay Pastor, take it on home! I am not sure why he seldom does them, but in reflection, I just think where would I be if Pastor Vines hadn't made this call the day I was at First Baptist in Jacksonville? How different my life is now because of that and the persistant prayers of Gigi, Mom, and Pastor Brady. I thought of Marilyn Mylander sitting with her grands- two full pews- and no alter call. As the spirit leads...

We all had a good time at Joy's too, all the cousins played and they all get along so great! It was a little chilly yesterday, but sunny. A great day for an Easter egg hunt. Joy had a big meal planned for us all- ham, potatoes, snicker salad, coleslaw and deviled eggs. I don't know how she does it all.

Katia had her appointment today with the Ear, Nose, Throat Dr. here and what a dissappointment! I spent more time filling out the insurance info than he spent with Katia! He said to call and bring her in as soon as her ears start hurting again so that he can examine her then. Yeah right, it took two weeks to get into see him this time! I'm frustrated to say the least. She's been sick for two full months, nonstop, but hey apparently- THAT'S NORMAL??? Even this morning, she couldn't turn the pages in a book she was reading to me cause her fingers were numb! I just don't understand.

On a super awesome note- Tayton is sleeping better- halleluia, praise the Lord! In the past three nights, two he slept the whole night and the third, he only got up once! The first couple days in the toddler bed were rough to get him to stay in it, mostly at nap time, so I took out a pack and play(playpen) and put him in it and within minutes he was asleep. Now, he wants to be a big boy and take naps in his bed and rarely gets out. Course I still hear him playing a bit, but after only a little while, he's out!! That is super good news!

Well, that's about it from me. Hope you all had a great weekend!

Gina Glad to hear your Easter was so great. And boy do I ever agree with you on the altar call issue...it doesn't need to be drawn out, but if the spirit is moving in someones heart, having an invitation can sure help. Hearing about all of Kats health problems makes me think she might have allergies...Macy the daughter of the lady who works for me has been so sick most of her life....so many colds, ear aches, upset stomach....it got better when Cheryl started homeschooling, but I kept after her to get her tested for allergies...turns out shes allergic to tomatoes and chicken (which she loves and eats alot of) and cats and grass. She now gets allergy shots, and is doing so much better...still having some issues with the ears...says they burn alot. She has an ent watching it and they are trying to figure out what is the problem. Hope this helps.

Hi!
I was hoping they would do the allergy testing yesterday too, it's in the same office, but this dr. was just not even interested in her history- he didn't even have her records. This Macy sounds so much like Katia. I sure hope at some point they will figure it out. She's sooo thin too, I think that's part of it. She doesn't like to eat, it's always a struggle. But she also usually doesn't feel so good after she eats. So maybe it is some kind of allergy or several. Thanks! I'm dying to see pictures of the farm! Hope it's all going well.
