New Doc

I tried to post some miscellany a week ago and Tayton waltzed up to the computer, pushed a button and I lost the whole post! So here I go again...
Dr. Park called last week and said that the biopsies on Tayton came back good. He had told us when were down there that he wanted to get Tayton to a good pediatrician up here because he felt there are some other things going on with him that a Dr. needs to follow. See, we lost our pediatrician in Iron Mt. about four months after Tayton was born. So we have been seeing rotating doctors for the past year or so without really seeing anyone more than twice. So getting to the bottom of his troubles could be attributed to that. Although the first doctor from Lansing was the one that referred us to Marshfield, thankgoodness! But for the most part, we've relied heavily on our chiropractor and this Doctor in Marshfield for his stomach problems and just went to Iron Mt. for his regular shots/check ups. When the occassional virus came up, we went to the OSF walkin. So you see a pattern here. No one really followed Tayton's case besides our Marshfield gastro and chiro. Well, Dr. Park(Marshfield gastro) made some calls to a pediatrician here, Dr. Bryzinski. He actually comes to Escanaba twice a month from Marquette and then his pediatric associate doctors also come here once a week. I had called them before and was told that they were not accepting any patients. So Dr. Park knows him quite well and assured us that "he'd take you guys for me." So Dr. Park called, not only got Tayton accepted, but also Tyler and Katia! So we have an appointment on the 26th here in Escanaba. And it's not like I think Doctors are the miracle workers or anything, but I've always felt like reflux wasn't the only thing going on. Take yesterday for example. He cried most of the day. No rhyme or reason. And that night, he had gotten up four times. So I am looking forward to meeting this doctor. Dr. Park said he would be checking on us to make sure Dr. B is working out. I'm so grateful to have had Dr. Park working with and for us. You sure don't find doctors like that around here.

You know what I never noticed before? Once spring is here, we get our beautiful sunsets back! Wow! We have really had some pretty ones the last couple nights. I wonder why we don't have them in the winter? Okay Dad, that's something for you to ponder and get back to us on, okay?:)

This website is acting weird this morning so I better cut this short or I'll lose this once again!

I have suspected his teeth recently and then he cut his last eye tooth. I just looked in there past his first molars and I don't see anything new. So most likely, it was foccacia we had for lunch yesterday. It had olive oil, some seasonings, but not much and some cheese. He can be so sensitive to yeasty breads, it's weird. Like he just can't handle homemade breads! And they have checked him twice for celiac's. It's so weird. Yet, storebought bread, is fine for him. I can imagine that finding a new ped. for Wheaton would be a daunting thing! Word of mouth is probably your best bet, even then, it would have to be from people that have had kids with problems cause any pediatrician can do checkups. It's the good ones that can diagnose right! Our first pediatrician here jumped to the conclusion at two weeks, that Tayton was lactose intolerant and that I had to stop nursing immediately! I'm so glad I got another opinion! I cannot imagine if we had gone through the formula guesswork and had that bother him even more! I was telling Paul that if we don't get to the bottom of this here, that we should look into the specialist you told me about in Ohio, was it? The same type as you had in FL. No one seems to understand the mitochondrial link. At least to rule it out and if it's not, is better than guessing like we're doing. Hope you guys can find someone good too!

Hi Grandma!
It does sound like alot of family are thinking of going to Jax for Memorial day! I don't think we can make it though:-( It would take us about 24 days to get there with Tayton! He doesn't like riding in the car for long distances at all.
Tia, yup, celiac's is the gluten/wheat allergy. It sure did seem like he had that, but according to the tests he doesn't. And I guess you bruise easy if you have it and he doesn't get bruises much at all. I still sort of think there's a link to yeast for him especially with all the mastitis I had. But I don't know what you would call that.
Have good day you two!
