Almost Friday

We got home about 5:30, earlier than we thought- the car didn't give us any problems-I wasn't able to stay with Tayton till he was asleep, but they gave him something that made him relaxed and he was "blowing kisses and waving at all the nurses like a little ham." So that part went well. Course the anesthesia rocked his world again and they came rushing out to get us to calm him. He just woke up too early and was in the "dilerium" stage. They get so confused about what is happening to them unlike adults who can make some sense of being groggy. The little guys just don't like feeling that way! Don't blame him a bit!
Same old story, his reflux is still there, it seems to have improved somewhat according to the pH study, but the probe was not inserted far enough into his stomach for the first eleven hours so I guess I question the results quite a bit. We decided to keep him off the prevacid and see how it goes. The doctor didn't push the issue and it was very refreshing. Time may be all he needs although we will also find out biopsy results either tomorrow or into next week. His esophagus and stomach looked good though, no erosion or ulcers. He had his ears tested too since he's not saying more than four words. All the doctors are freaked out by that so we went along with having some pretty awesome testing this morning. His ears are fine.
The frustration that I have is the lack of answers, but I guess some things, we just don't get to know. For now, we'll keep avoiding the stuff that we know trigger him and go from there. At least we know he hasn't gotten worse.
Quotable from last week that I forgot to put on here:

Large white seagulls flutter around the Ludington park and Katia says, " MOM!!! The eagles are out, the eagles are out!"
I said, "Where do you see Eagles?"
She said,"Right there mom, look up!"
"Katia, those are SEAgulls, not EAGLES:-)" In a coy voice she says, "Oh, that's what I meant, you know they aren't around in the winter, Mom."

Till tomorrow....Nite nite!

I don't know either, although the doctor said we could put him back on the medicine and that it could let us get more sleep, but really, it doesn't do all that much anyway. I only nurse him during the night- before bed and then as he needs- about twice a night. It's soothing on his tummy and yet not overfilling to him either. And I have to think that it still helps him ward off the germs that go around. Everything went perfect with Tyler, Katia and Mom- the first night Katia told Paul, I want you to come home. But she got over it. They were busy too. She's still suffering with her ear infection, hopefully this second round of antibiotics will do the trick. Thanks so much for your prayers Grandma!
