More storms today...we're in a tornado watch and thunderstorm warning till 9pm. Seems that every other day over the past couple weeks have been like this. We are always in the middle of these weird low pressure fronts.
We all got ready early this morning and went to a new dr. office. Tayton came down with strep throat with a high fever. Our old office in town hasn't been able to get us in the past two times I've called. They say they have gone from like 8 doctors down to 2 and just can't take any appointments. We use this particular office for illnesses and see the pediatrician in Escanaba if possible. Otherwise, taking the kids and hour and half up to Marquette when they are sick is not a good option. The pediatrician comes to Esky once a month so scheduling well visits or Katia's checkups has been easy. So...frustrated with the "illness" offices' response, I decided to go to a brand new place in Bark River. It was beautiful! The service was unbelievable- they had computers in each exam room and actually faxed his Rx right over to Walgreen's while we were there! Usually, getting the dr. to even call in a Rx is like asking him to cut off his right arm! So we'll likely use this office from now on for illnesses. At least, I'll try to. Sometimes things come up on the weekends and we're forced to use the Hospital walkin clinic which is, well- let's not go there.
So we've been home the rest of the day under this tornado watch. I need to work in my garden, the weeds are overtaking everything. I don't want to do a whole bunch of weed control tactics since I'll be pulling everything out anyway. I need a hoe- that would be alot easier. I've been raking or pulling the weeds, but with raised rows, I can see that a hoe would be the ideal choice.
Well, I better get going- have a good one!

D'ya know.... I just bought my first hoe this year and I can't believe I haven't had one before now! I use it almost every day and almost never for my garden LOL...the garden is well mulched and weed free. But the edges of the beds get hoed, the grass under the fence line, puppies needing to be pulled out from under the shed....it's fantastic! Get thee one! :-)
