The kids will be done with school Thursday. It's been funny to watch and hear about their plans at school this week. They really don't do any work on the last week at all! They both had pizza parties yesterday- Tyler for orchestra and Katia went to Royce park for all kinds of activities. But they are still having a school party on Thursday too! It's nice for Tyler since next year he'll be at the Jr. High. He wanted to do something different with his hair- a few ideas were a mohawk(ew!), dying it, spiking it- we opted for his aunt putting in blond highlights instead. He was happy with it- he looks like a California kid now. His hair has gotten to be such a dark blond so this really brightened him up. Course, Katia wasn't too happy about her brother getting them and she wasn't, but we'll do something special with her hair tomorrow morning. She said, I have to remember this when I'm in 5th grade so I can get highlights too!
It will be so nice to not have to get up so early- Tayton will be so excited to have his buddies here all day and Phoebe will be loving it too. Although we'll have to techinically wait another week because our vacation bible school starts next Monday! I have always wished they could just give the kids one week off from school before VBS, but the week is always the same.
I guess today I'll try to stock up on some things at the store- I'm trying to only go to town when I really have to and have been able to not have to go in more than once a day ever. There are times during the school year that I have to go in to town three times in one day! That gets old and with gas prices as they are- the only way to hit the big oil companies with their own medicine is just to cut back. I read the other day that our local campgrounds have been full with all Delta county residents. People just can't go too far the way it is, but at least they are spending their money close to home and that's always good in the U.P.
Well, I guess I better get going today.....
