I can't believe I keep forgetting to tell you about our new family member! Her name is Snoopy, she's a purebred mini rex rabbit. The kids have wanted a rabbit for a couple years now, and finally about a month ago, their wish came true.
We bought her from a 4-H student at our U.P. State Fair this past August. We had gone to the fair one night with Joy, mainly to take the kids on rides and to find a rabbit. The kids had saved their money and had promised to take care of her forever! Last year, they had rabbits for sale in the petting zoo area. Well, this year, the Llahmas took over the petting zoo and the kids were devastated. The last day of the fair, we went back to go through the barns with Tayton since we had only been there for about two hours the time before. We went through the rabbit, poultry barn and my uncle Floyd was working there. He and my Aunt Ginner have volunteered their time in that barn for years. They guard it and make sure that no one puts their fingers in the cages, etc. Anyway, he told us that at 5pm, the 4-H animals would be sold outside of the barn so we hung out until exactly 5pm. I surprised at the chios actually. People get very greedy when it comes to animals! So the kids had picked out their rabbit a little earlier and we took her home. We tried letting her stay in the house. I guess we hadn't planned on her peeing outside of the dog cage we had her in! So out she went. Katia and Paul made her a little wooden house with a round whole to go inside of the large dog house. This is where her name came from. First, she was named sweetie, then daffodil, and since she likes to sit ontop of her little wooden house, her true name came forth- SNOOPY!! She is the sweetest little rabbit, she'll stay on the smaller side which is nice for the kids to handle her. I actually am the only one that holds her now cause she gets kicking and I think she would get away from the kids. The kids are taking great care of her though just as promised! I'll publish a picture of her some time.

Wow, your rabbit sat still long enough to dress it! I hope ours will get that tame. Did you have him indoors? I wish we could have ours inside somehow. Any tips on rabbits- do we have to take her to the vet?
