Amusement

My dad cracks me up with the things he comes up with. I tease him that he reminds me of the bearded guy on Red Green- always some kind of idea is flowing out of him- my dad is way more ingenious of course, but I just like to tease him once in a while.
I was thinking the other day- we have that in common- we both think alot. I'm told I am much like my dad in the things I think about. So when I say to Paul, "you know I was thinking..." he gets ready for a long story with somethings that don't make sense to him, but totally do to me. That's how my dad is too. He truely believes in his heart, that our way of counting our age is totally wrong. I can't explain his math in this regard, but he truely thinks that we are all a year older than we should be. My dad and I have alot of giggles about things in the news, but we argue about politics alot, and we're both stubborn . He likes Sarah Palin, I don't. I have always liked John McCain- he detests him mostly until recently. So I am looking forward to the war of politics is over in 46 days.
But back to my amusement this week. I was thinking about Sarah Palin- I see her same old speech from state to state- it's nauseating now. I thought she was tough the first time I heard it, now she resembles a puppet. And so my big idea was born. Remember those baby dolls we had as kids that you pulled the string on and it would say, "momma, momma"? Well since they have already made action figures of Sarah, I thought what be would be of a bigger hot seller would be one of those pull a string Sarah Palin dolls, that said "Oh and on dat bridge to nowhere, tanks but no tanks." Annoying, yeah, but so is she:-)
