Hipocrisy

It's always something you hear unbelievers say about believers. "That so and so is such a hipocrite." That phrase just really gets me fired up. A relative recently said that about someone I don't even know and it just has really bothered me. I wonder what sin Jesus would say his blood was not adequate for? I mean he only died on the cross as a sacrifice for all of us "hipocrites". No one is worthy, no one is pure and perfect, not even holy rollers. But we are sure under the microscope. So what's the reason for that? Are they looking for the reason we believe what we believe? Are they thirsty- you bet. We're to be ready to give the reason why we have hope and I sure wasn't ready at the time. I guess next time I'll know what to say. The reason we pray for the hopeless is not because we're greater than thou- it's because sometimes that's the only thing you can do for situations that are hopeless. Why are they hopeless, because they don't know Christ. God is the only one that can breathe the breath of life into someone, God is the only one that can change a heart, and only through his son Jesus can we even come to the father. So if someone is so lost that there is no hope for a change in them, you better believe it's time to pray- it was time to pray yesterday!
