Friday news

This week is almost over and with a sigh of relief. I survived! Tyler's concert was so great! I saw a different side to my boy that really made me happy. He was confident and yet you could see his nervousness, but we could even hear him singing! On the way home, he said, " Mom I was so nervous before we went on stage, I don't think I can do it again Sunday. " But by the time was arrived home, he had decided that it wasn't so bad. He's never really had the "stage" like Katia with her dance so this is all new to him. He would sort of hide behind other students during Christmas programs at school. Well during this concert, he was right out front and swayed with the music as he sang at all the right times. I can't wait till Sunday!

Tayton and I got a few Christmas presents bought this week. I'm very much behind the eight ball this year. Paul and I were talking last night about what Grandma had commented on one of my blogs. Here's what she said if you didn't catch it,
" Personally I feel valentine day and/or our birthday would be the time for gifts and gifts at Christmas should be to the needy and suffering. I will just enjoy the Christ honoring music and the programs that children put on , and of course being with as many of my family as possible."
Those words keep coming to mind as I go throughout my day and we both agree. Like Pat Robertson said this week also, the reason we give gifts is because we were given the gift of Jesus. He had been talking about how certain stores were not allowing the word "Christmas" on signs, etc. Times are changing, more and more people I talk to are not buying gifts for one another at Christmas time. I think there needs to be a happy medium. If we start not buying gifts at Christmas time, before long, people will decide to not even celebrate Christmas. Just my thoughts of course and they are still in the rought draft stage!

Well, I think all the changes to Tayton's daily routine have finally caught up with him so I have to sign out for now. Love you all!
