A new year

The kids had their first day of school yesterday. Tyler is a freshman, Katia is in 6th grade, and Tayton is in kindergarten. I was praying for each of them to have a good first day and they did. Katia never got lost and was able to open her locker each time, Tyler; aka Mr. Cool, calm and collective- had no trouble navigating his new high school, and Tayton breezed through the afternoon with just a tummy ache. So I'm thankful. The first day ultimately determines the tone for the year. Tonight our Word of Life program at church begins it's fall session. I think I still have the 5th & 6th grade girls. Tyler is a coach of the 3rd and 4th grade boys and game coach for 1st-6th. I'm proud of his leadership and spiritual growth. We have a really great team of adults leading our youth at our church and it shows. Our youth continually take the lead in worship during church, youth group, WOL, and VBS. Our youth are filling the gap where adults should be ideally, but without question- we are a blessed church with future leaders. When I see these young adults leading our church, my heart is overwhelmed. Blessed...
