It's like spring here- almost fifty the past two days and it will continue to warm up before a little snow again late in the week. I kind of doubt that it will happen, but we'll see. We all had our fill of snow around here. I don't know what our official totals were, but close to 2 feet or more in a week.
I've been so busy with our budget committee. We've had two meetings so far, will present the proposed budget tomorrow night and likely have some changes to make and another couple meetings. It's interesting, but the brunt of it has fallen into my lap and it's been a bit overwhelming with the regular treasurer duties, and Word of Life. I live, eat, sleep, breathe numbers lately. But apparently, part of the duties as treasurer is to be on the budget committee, which makes perfect sense- it's just plain alot of work. I pray everyday, Lord help me to get through all this cause I feel like I'm going to loose it! I'm thankful I don't have a job outside the home- I don't know how Tom did it for 17 years! The Lord has sure guided me though- I had no idea how to do this job before and it's getting more routine. There really isn't anyone to turn to for help besides God!
The kids choir sang today- it was so awesome! Paul came to church and it was a great service.
Our washing machine broke this week. I had to take about five loads to the laudrymat yesterday. An old school friend was there and she said, "my you have alot of laundry- that or you have alot of kids!" Yeah, three, and a puppy that pees on her blankets, and a husband who changes his clothes two or three times a day. You bet I have alot of laundry- and that was only three days worth. I hung some of them out after I washed them yesterday and the rest I dried at home. Then my wonderful husband took my advice to take apart the pump and he fixed it today!!! Yay!!!! We priced out new washers yesterday, he was ready to buy a new one to avoid taking apart this one, but I just knew once he did, he could fix it- he can fix just about anything. No new parts were needed, just needed to clear out the pump. See, Miss Phoebe peed on her little bed cushion, so I put it in the wash. Well it came apart, but I guess I didn't think it had lost much stuffing. Well, sistah, it lost enough to plug that pump up solid. Paul said with all the stuffing around the tub part even, it was a miracle that it didn't catch fire. So..."my old man's a Maytag repairman, whatdoya think about that?" My dad used to sing a song similar to that when I was a kid.
