before school starts. It's funny how we'll try to crame in as much family time as possible this weekend- like the kids are leaving and not coming back. It's one last attempt to ensure that they had an enjoyable summer I guess.
We'd like to go to Tahquamenon Falls Saturday or Sunday. There's a train ride that you often see bears on, a giant ferry ride to see the falls from the water and then a long walk as I remember. The last time I went, I was in girl scouts- maybe a second grader and yes, we saw a black bear on the railroad tracks! I really want the kids to see the falls, I'm sure it's something they will love.
Monday we are tentatively planning to go Norway, about 40 minutes from here. Paul's cousin's son is having his last go-cart race there on the track where the big racecars race each week. He normally races in Marquette and we've not been able to make it to any of his races. The Dickinson County fair is also going on at the same time and it's youth day.
I've been in a real funk with meals lately. Nothing sounds good and the task of making sure nothing has milk is a daunting one. Tayton had one little m&m last night and was sicker than a dog this morning. He also had some sliced peaches (from a can-no rind)before he went to bed and I'm wondering if he can't have those too. He woke up in the middle of the night last night and was very uncomfortable.
Katia's appointment with the opthamologist was moved up a week yesterday! Thank you for your prayers about that! It's September 18th now.
Well, breakfast needs to be made...hope you all have a great long weekend!

Mmm, good ideas! Who'da thought a single m&m could do so much eh? Course I do suspect the peaches although he's had them quite a few times before. Weird. I asked our chiro about the carnitine and she was curious about how they test for it and must not have heard about carnitor- I guess I'll have to talk to the pediatrician about it though.
I guess those Ott genes must run pretty dominant in our families eh?
