We had Tayton's birthday party tonight- it was great! Normally, I'm such a weirdo about the whole party thing. I don't know why. I used to host a summer party every year downstate for our friends- many times there was fifty or sixty people and I never really got stressed out. But for some reason when it comes to birthday parties for the kids, I just seem to get tense and then hardly even get to enjoy it until at least an hour into it. And I am running around like crazy right up until the guests arrive. Well, today was so different. The whole day just went great- I got alot of things done yesterday cleaning wise and made the cake last night. The kids were helpful and good- I got alot done during Tayton's naptime- and was relaxing a bit at 4pm- two and a half hours before showtime! I called my mom and asked her if she had prayed for me or something cause I just knew this was not normal and sure enough she had. She knows how insane I get, LOL!
Tayton has been eyeing up a chocolate cake in my taste of home magazine- one of the last issues has a cake on the back cover and he always says, CAKE, CAKE, CAKE when he sees it. So I made this "choco-holic" bundt cake and managed to eliminate any type of milk in it. It was good, but pretty rich. Tayton enjoyed nearly every bite over about a half hour. I wasn't able to find any soy ice cream, so we bought a type of italian ice and he sure loved that too!
He got alot of really great gifts, everyone is so generous to the kids, he's wearing new jammies and has two new monkeys to sleep with! We bought him his first bike. He gets on and off really good and I'm sure will want to take it outside tomorrow for a test drive. He looks so much older on that bike! Wah!!! My baby is going to be two tomorrow!
Oh, before I forget! He's been sleeping all night since this elimination of milk! It's amazing! It's been like six days! And he's so much happier during the day- it's like night and day. Thank you all so much for your prayers, it sure appears we have found something this time. And Tyler, well his eczema is nearly gone now that he's not drinking/eating milk products either so it would appear that he also has this allergy. Not to the extreme that Tayton does, he's had this eczema since he was three and usually the winter is the worst for him, but he hasn't had any type of stomach upset from milk. I guess the eczema that he had on on his face must have bothered him a bit because he says he's not going to have milk anymore so that it doesn't come back.
Well, that's my news for today. Nite, nite!

Yes it does sound interesting- do you ferment it yourself or do you buy it that way? I'm going to have to be on the lookout for that book at our little bookstore- I see I could order it from Amazon too. I was thinking after I read your blog today, man I wish I lived closer to Tia!
